The Perfect Place for a Celebration of Americana
Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Great Shopping
Founded in 1850, Petaluma is a town seeped in history and
rich agricultural character.

Downtown Petaluma's architecture is a charming mix of historic buildings, some dating back to the 1800's. Browsing the streets of downtown, shoppers have a wide variety of antiques, retail and eclectic restaurants to choose from.

Dubbed the "Egg basket of the world", the town of Petaluma was known as a world leader in the 1900's chicken and eggs industry.  Clues to this illustrious past can still be found around the town today. The Petaluma Historical society, housed  in the original Carnegie library building, offers a window into Petaluma's past with it's poultry, diary and Miwok Indian exhibits.

The Americana Art Fest is proud to keep the memory of Petaluma's rich agricultural history alive.  It is not uncommon to find ranch, farm, poultry and dairy antiques mixed into the spectacular Americana displays.  Artists also offer original works with a nod to Petaluma's rural background.

Housed in the Historic Hermann Sons Hall, the Americana Art Fest opens its doors on May 12, 2018 at 9am.
Draped with bunting, vintage flags & festooning the atmosphere in the hall is electric!
